This is the 4th of a bi-weekly inspiration prompt challenge. Every second week I will pick one of each color of my Inspirational Prompt Sticks and throw out an invitation on YouTube and on here. I selected the prompt sticks on video. See the video version of this weeks Prompt Stick Challenge.
Try to use each prompt. You can do them in whatever order works best for you and your creative muse. If you don’t have a product listed, do not feel that you need to go out and buy it. Make a substitution as you see fit. You can make these as ATCs (Artist Trading Cards), ICAD ( Index cards), small journal pages or large.
When done, please post on the new Facebook Group entitled, All Things Mixed Media:CreativeKady. I created this group so we can have a conversation about what we are all sharing. I want to promote the development of “creationships” between you and me, and between you and others traveling the same creative path.
You don’t have to wait to post to join All Things Mixed Media:Creativekady. Search for it and sign up today. As the group gets going I will be posting inspiration quotes, technique or organization hints, and well all things mixed media.
Here are the prompts:
Red- color medium– Inktense Blocks- The blue prompt overrides this prompt. For this challenge there will be only 5 prompts.
Purple-texture– Add dictionary text. You can find these in thrift stores. If you don’t have an old dictionary use book paper.
Green-pattern -Use a new or old stamp or stencil. Time to dig out a stamp/stencil that you haven’t used in a while or one that you’ve just purchased.
Blue- theme- One color in all your mediums. Pick whatever color you want and then grab all the different mediums you have . For me that means, acrylics ( craft paint and Liquitex), gelatos, neo-color II, homemade sprays, Lindy’s Starburst Sprays, Inktense Blocks. Different shades of same color can also be used
Orange-technique- Spray water through a stencil. After doing this pat the page. If you’ve used any water activated product some of the color will “lift” giving you some interesting texture/pattern. Don’t panic if this doesn’t work, just remember the technique for some other time.
Yellow- additional details– Add a quote that’s on deli paper , tracing paper or tissue paper. You can do your own lettering, or use letter stamps on deli paper. You can also print onto deli paper.Click on this link to view YouTube video where I show how to do this.
Missed Try It Tuesday Challenge # 3 No worries. Here it is. No deadline for doing challenges.
